- How can I order services from Octopius?
The first step in the process requires you to set up an account with us. Creating an account is simple and requires only a few basic details about you and/or your business. There are no charges incurred in creating an account as you only pay for the services you order from us after establishing an account. When you create an account you will be provided with a unique user identification and password that will allow you to access our secure clients facilities. You will then be able to edit your personal details and view your account details which includes a complete history of correspondence, design briefs, orders placed, work completed and work pending.
- What is the payment process for using your services?
Start-up packages and hosting services require full payment in advance. Commissioned services require a minimum 50% deposit before work can commence. You may also choose to pay in full if this is preferred. This amount is based on our final quote. If there are any changes to the job requirements, or you require additional services, we will advise of the incremental costs and ask for your confirmation and approval. If these incremental costs exceed 50% of our final quote, we may require additional payment before finalizing the work. Our teams are very flexible and will try to accommodate any minor changes without additional charge.
- Can I purchase a start-up package and order other services at the same time?
Yes. However, you will need to pay in full for the start-up package whereas we will provide you with a quote for the other services. Commissioned services require a 50% advance payment based on our final quote. If it is preferred you can make the one payment for the entire amount for both the start-up package and the extra services.
- Do I need to purchase a domain name?
Yes. The majority of clients have usually registered and reserved their preferred domain name, however, if you have not, we can assist in the registering of a domain name. There are a number of conditions that have to be met before registering an Australian domain. Australian domain names are distinguished by the .au extension. These conditions generally facilitate in the likelihood of a good domain name that is suitable to your business still being available.
- Can I change my start-up packages once I have signed up?
Yes. However, you will need to indicate your intensions before development commences. This generally occurs immediately after the initial briefings are completed. If you have purchased either Aptitude or Bureaux there is a greater flexibility in changing products as they share common base technologies. Carbon, however, utilises a database technology base and therefore encounters a completely different approach in development, which subsequently means there is less flexibility in changing products once development begins. If you are upgrading to a more expensive product, before we can action your request, you will need to make the necessary additional payment for the incremental differences incurred between the two products.
- May I cancel my order/service anytime I want? Are there any charges?
Yes, you can cancel your order anytime. However, we are unable to refund any money if more than 50% of the work has already been completed. If you cancel your order after making payment and before the initial brief is commenced, we will refund 100% of the amount, if, however, the initial brief has begun we will only refund 75% of the amount of the monies we have thus far received in payment.
- Are there limits to the size of my website?
